Not an expert in any of this stuff, but I'd be surprised if bookies are doing anything other than letting their systems adjust prices based on following the money placed. Particularly at our level where presumably there isn't that much money (in relative terms) being staked at all.

More than happy to be corrected on that if anyone knows any better, however...

bookies put their prices up, then money moves the prices when gambled on

True, I didn't explain it very well. The bookies 'opinion' comes from bets being placed, and it's not a huge market so a few big bets on either team would cause the odds to shift. I suppose it's the view of all those who have placed bets.

Both clubs have poor records in the playoffs since being in the NL, which only adds to the nervousness of both sets of fans to miss out on the title.

Everyone is focusing on the refs decision (and it was his) but it was the linesman who was making a big deal about it and called the ref over - he initially didn't seem interested in it.
Maybe the ref thought he would get his game assessment marked down if he did nothing.
Ironically probably both will for getting it wrong.

Deliberate handball isn't a yellow card offense. The best they could argue would be delaying the restart of the game but he probably makes it easier for the goalie to get the ball back.

Ref would argue, it’s a deliberate handball in the box. Would also add, was he walking a thin rope ? Did he commit a few fouls after the yellow
