The National League really should rethink the timing of this fixture. End of March when clubs are focussed on the run in!

They should arrange it for between the end of the season and the play offs with expectation that players from teams in the play offs wouldn't be picked.

I understand that without the C fixtures, 99% of players at this level will never get to represent their country and a lot of players would jump on the chance to participate in this fixture.

But hosting a fixture at this time of year is ridiculous. Do it during the summer so no team suffers and obviously players can opt out should they want.

Picked up an 'ankle injury' on Saturday apparently , although he played the full 90+ minutes of the match .

very sensible of Notts - they can't risk their most valuable player in game that means nothing to them

Absolutely. Wise move by Langstaff and Notts County.

We just need Sam Dalby to declare that next doors cat is unwell, and Mrs Miggins from No42 has chipped a fingernail, so he’s no longer available for this utterly pointless England C game.

Ridiculous timing for such an event, as others have said, there’s the Close Season for that.
Players might not fancy it even then, but let’s face it they’re more likely to fancy it then, than during the NL season.
