Did he get found in the end?

Scott Shearer has unfinished business I’m hearing.

Not playing at all didn't harm Hennessey's career and Ward and the star power of the show has had Mullin mentioned a couple of times by Page. So maybe not but yeah I'd agree Ward's probably not on the list.

In hindsight gambling on Ryan Boot would have been worth a look rather than him having to settle for the Chesterfield bench. We'll find out over the 10 days I suppose.

I think we can do better than Boot, let’s not just focus on people we have heard of.

The lack of transfer activity since Mullin’s injury is hard to get too over excited about. I keep reminding myself we’ve signed Boyle and McClean but it just seems to be a painstaking process and hard for us to begin to get excited.

The transfer window has been terribly boring for the fans hasn’t it. All this talk of 20 million pound turnover and we can’t even sign a striker. So much for showing other league 2 teams that we are looking to improve on what we got. If anything Boyle has only impressed me in one game so far and I would still pick Tunnicliffe over him. McClean or Mendy? Which one would you go for? Not easy to decide is it. We should be bringing players I. Who are better than what we have got, but we have failed on that this summer.

I never really bought the striker speculation, it didn't make sense unless the Mullin injury turned out to be more severe and they probably were waiting on him to see the specialist before even entertaining that kind of serious move up front. Since it does look like it's only gonna be a few more games (and especially now that Bickerstaff is making a case to be the #3 without a loan spell), how big a name guy do people expect them to bring in that's gonna willingly sit the bench once Mullin gets back? Maybe they displace Palmer over time but that requires a different type of striker.

The bigger issue right now imo is they have more guys than even just Mullin on the shelf, and the ones that are left seemingly don't quite all fit together in the puzzle.

Certainly is hard to get excited about at the moment about signings. If anything it makes me more certain we have struggled to get some of our top targets.
