Maybe they displace Palmer over time but that requires a different type of striker.
The bigger issue right now imo is they have more guys than even just Mullin on the shelf, and the ones that are left seemingly don't quite all fit together in the puzzle.

We needed a striker before the Mullin injury, and it's going to some time before he's playing and up to speed. There's plenty of word-play in updates on his progress.
His ribs are going to be a target for every opposition player in League 2; he's got to be right before playing.
