Liam McAlinden signs for Scunthorpe

Scunthorpe's transfer embargo was lifted earlier this week, and they've started recruiting in hopes of getting back to the National League this season.

Following his departure from Wrexham, McAlinden gave an insight into what it was like in the North of Wales since his arrival in the July 2021: “I had a great time there - two-and-a-half years - which was a really successful period for me, but obviously everything comes to an end and hopefully now I can bring the same success here too.

Not sure on this, for me he’s far too good for NLN/NLS which is a very poor standard and the NL is a big step up from it.

I’d say McAlinden is at least a play off NL player so a very good signing for them this and next season if they go up
