He's 22 years old ! what do you expect prime Buffon or Never in every department already ? He's a phenomenal keeper for his age .

... I really wonder what some people expect - just because we have Rob & Ryan and things are on the up , some people seem to think we should win every game with ease and that no player should ever make a mistake - they should all be perfect 10/10 at everything we do !

Arthur will play at the very least Championship football in the next few years , quilt possibly premiere league football - we won't get a better keeper than him at the racecourse in a very long time

100% he's a massive upgrade on Rob even when fully fit ! ... plus he's 22, he's going to get better and better

sounds like more made up rubbish from the people who brought us ' they didn't let Joey into a game' .... why do people make this nonsense up ?

Being 22 isn't a guarantee that he'll get better. It just means he has potential to do so.

Massive upgrade at present? Lainton commands his defence much better, is a decent shop stopper and hardly ever makes a cock up.

Exactly! Given the problems we've had with keepers over the last few years it's bizarre that anyone would assume we could go out and find better at this level.

And was hardly ever fit.

The longer our players don't play, the better they seem to get

Arthur has dropped to the fourth tier of football and being released by Arsenal for a reason. Arthur is young but there is no guarantee he will improve and he certainly isn't worth the money that was quoted in January.
There are many keepers young and old on the books of team higher up the tier that could do a good job here, and we have the financial wherewithal to sign a decent keeper should Arthur decide to ply his trade elsewhere.

If you read back, I said a fully fit Lainton. I know he's never fit which is why he'll be off in the summer.

All my other points still stand.

You can not make a cock up with your feet up on the sofa.
