Not sure Chester is ever good option.

I don't think we can write him off given he has never had a run of games at NL or L2 level.

We should get him a NL loan and say that you either score goals and prove yourself or we'll be letting you go.

I think the fact he hasn't been a regular at Accrington poses more questions than answers.

He was a regular until they changed managers and then came back to us as the new manager was looking ahead to next season.

My post was supposed to say regular scorer. Wherever he plays next season, his goal scoring record needs to improve.

Another caveat I suppose is the role he was asked to play.

One thing's for sure, if he's staying he needs to be playing regular senior football in order to develop so a loan it is.

When he was playing everything I read seemed. to suggest they were using him as a target man, which just seems insane.

I've got some doubts about his level, but I do think he could end up being a solid L2 player in the right team. Not sure about any higher but you never know.

I can remember the days when we used Stuart Beavon as a target man at 5ft 7 but he was very good in the air.

Unsure if it's been mentioned on here yet, but I wonder who if any of the released players will end up signing for a League One team, thus face us next season? Possibly Aaron Hayden, but he'll likely be missing through injury.
