I'd also argue though for the same reasons that 4 teams shouldn't be relegated from the national league.
the lowest you could go is 2 relegation spots as than the only ones who get promoted are the league winners from the north and south leagues.

Which would than scrap there play offs so kills off their leagues if someone runs away with it. Just leave it as 4 spots available

Think they mean from League 2 down to the National League. 4 going down from there is more logical sense, so you go to the regional divisions.

There is the question of whether they’ll have the income to support a large wage bill in terms of FFP (or whatever it’s called).

Did just watch the highlights - defending right out of the Notts County playbook by Solihull for Bromley’s second goal…

I took a look at Bromley's home attendances this season and they looked to be averaging about mid 2,000s with some over 4,000.
That was quite a surprise to me.
And if you look at the area, Bromley borough has a population of 330,000 and that part of London has relatively few EFL clubs. The nearest premier league team is Palace.
Maybe their owner has found a club that can grow too.

You look at the football league and a lot of these ex non league clubs (Wycombe, Stevenage, Crawley) have done relatively well. I appreciate moneys been spent in a few cases but hasn't it always? Look at a few ex league clubs and they've really struggled (York, Darlo, Chester, Aldershot). It's just the fact that there wasn't much movement between the 92 and the conference that meant a lot of clubs just survived fine. Now it's more open it's more fair, allowing towns and areas to have football league clubs. I was against 3 up 3 down but not many clubs come up and stink the place out (especially compared to yo yo teams further up the pyramid)

Chester is not an ex-league team. Their club died. The phoenix has never got above regional football. Just thought i'd point this out

Yeah I forgot the year but it’s been ages since a non league team came up to the FL and went straight back down.
