Good luck to him. It's probably best for him to have a new start somewhere else as it's not happening here. Shame for him as came into the side with so much promise but hasn't moved on. This could be the making of him. (I hope so)

I sat next to Robbie away at north ferriby. It was freezing cold .but he sat with the fans and reacted like a fan .hell of a nice bloke .
But being a nice bloke is not the same thing as being a professional footballer.
He gave his all but just seemed to stop progressing this last couple of seasons.
So thanks for the effort and best wishes for the future

Does anyone know whats wrong with his ankle? Seems to have been having issues with it for a very long time. You wonder why hes been allowed to play on by the club physio if its been that detrimental to his form.

Good luck in your next move Robbie. Class act and a likeable bloke. If only all our players had his passion.

Scored goals against Chester and Tranmere, so will always be remembered well. Get that ankle sorted and keep on trucking.

I hope that he doesn't drift into the nether regions of the Welsh League. Be better heading into Conf N or Evo Stik.

With time to rest it over the summer, does anyone else think we should offer him a 6 month deal to prove his fitness or do you think the time has come for him to move on?

We need to set higher standards if we are ever going to get back into the Football League. Good luck to the lad but time to move on.

No I'm not saying he hasn't received enough criticism, I'm impressed with his retain list, only one I wouldn't of kept is Rutherford. I was expecting worse if I'm honest the likes of Barry. So all in all Keates is doing what we all wanted in the main.

The hard bit starts now building a squad from near enough scratch.

Keeping Rutherford was possibly the only one forced on Keates by the 30 game contract as he had already disassembled the squad to the bare minimum although his wages may have been cut on the renegotiation but needed him to play to ensure our safety.
This is just a guess but would make sense.
