Renewed my season ticket by phone yesterday morning. Rang me back within half an hour as promised to complete the transaction. Receipt in today's post. £240 outlay including name on seat - £5 cheaper than last year when I got my inaugural season ticket et al. Well done Matthew at the club ticket office!

I never get membership emails, despite doing the things I was told would resolve the issue, sometimes get a membership card, not last year mind. And I don't remember seeing resolution E explained or in any pre meeting documentation before the last Agm, a meeting I missed because I was home with my sick daughter.
Dont blame me Doom I just tried to explain.

When you went in person for your ST you should have asked them to check your e-mail address.

It's been checked, it's a 'glitch' and I believe I'm not alone.

Having read through the thread and seen it develop then it seems obvious that the WST membership system and process needs to be reviewed and brought into line with the
fan demographic.

We are still blessed with some older generation fans and not all of these have access to or the inclination to trawl through pages of information or to search web sites in the hunt for a membership renewal process.

A cost of £15 isn't in anyway too expensive but I cannot correlate the extra £3 with the 'admin' it is likely to incur. In reality any admin of membership cards seems very hit and miss with some fans receiving them yet others never receive them.

Whilst I also understand why the WST encourage DDs and SOs for the payment then 12 £1 payments over 12 months surely isn't better than £12 up front never mind £15 up front. (yes I know we are looking to encourage more than the £1 a month).

The WST membership committee are out of touch with the fans, I doubt they are even aware of the demograph or any correlation between ST holders and WST members.
Is anyone even aware of a lapsed membership process or any initiatives to grow the membership?

IMO this is something we have failed to deal with under WST ownership.

PAGL, there is a problem and it needs sorting. I think if people are committed they will sort their membership, but we do need to spoon feed some and maximise our potential by chasing others?

This is an area where a subcommittee is needed and could work wonders going forward. i.e. taking full advantage of our early season gates. If last year is anything to go by we will have something like 3-4,000 non members attending the first game. Everyone entering the ground should be given a membership/direct debit form. Those of us who are already members could be encouraged to use the form to sign up a friend.

I agree. The membership committee need to be far more pro-active and different groups (or sub-committees) need to deal with different elements.
Lapsed memberships, renewals & membership cards, new memberships these all need to be dealt with separately and in a far better way than it is done now.

In terms of memberships on match days then I would suggest a tented hospitality area on the Mold Road, Tech End corner where beer and food could be sold and also have a table with membership forms and also where email/phone numbers could be collected.

Renewed my membership in the shop today. Changed my email address as the one I was using just did not seem to work for WST emails. Hoping this resolves the issue. We'll see.
