Re: pos investment in ground???
No I'm not against ALL development.
I am a frequent visitor to South Wales but the acquisition of a loss making airport and also the proposed Circuit Of Wales Racetrack are examples of investment that does not benefit all of Wales.

No, but are they against development in the North. At some time this development has to be shared with the North. What significant development has happened in the North over the past 5 years for example. What significant structures have been built in Wrexham during this time compared to the south?

Re: pos investment in ground???
It seems that the Welsh Government are being secretive over the racing development - how I don't know. Seems that millions have already been handed over for investigative work and the company want The Welsh Government (Us) to underwrite the development if in case it fails. Like all crafty developers they are promising lots of job in an economically deprived area.
From my point of view I think the Welsh Government need to channel funds to strengthen Health, Education and general employment rather than airport enhancement, racetracks and football stadia. |

Re: pos investment in ground???
A few posters on here need a reality check.
We are not flush with cash and our priority is to build a club and team that can return to the football league. I would like to see the bare bones of a strategy for the future development of the kop and upgrading of facilities throughout the racecourse but you've got to walk before you can run. There is little point in having a plan of any sort if we are not in a position to implement it. If we are in a good position this season and getting decent crowds it may be possible to look at temporary stands on the kop to increase capacity and improve the atmosphere. Would still need catering and toilet facilities within the UNI ownership though. |
