Looks like Akil Wright will be signed up pretty quickly - as others have also hinted - I get the impression the jury seems to be out on Gime Tourre.
In fairness he hasn't looked terribly out of place in comparison to the other strikers and with his height and pace could provide something the others can't - perhaps needs a bit more composure - some of his shooting is a tad too high.

Looking at the Stafford highlights, Gimi Toure seemed to be involved in almost everything going forward.

That first goal was brilliant. From Wright winning it in midfield, great ball by Jennings and the way Boden took it...we haven't had a player who could do that since Moult. More of that please.

Looked really lively, as did Leon Smith. We looked dangerous going forward.

To me it felt like a post Portugal hangover.
They tried hard to work though it though which was positive.
Knowing the pedigree of the defence I'm not too worried there. They'll soon gel when they are playing together regularly.
Was talking to 2 Stoke fans who rated a number of our players, most impressed with James Jennings though. They said it's a position they've struggled with and he looks great. Interesting as although he played OK he has had better games.

Two players 6 foot plus in the centre of midfield makes all the difference.

I just don't think the other strikers look on par with Boden, a big lad to hold it up alongside him and give the defenders a tough time would be perfect.... Toure, Holroyd and Massanka haven't quite looked up to par in comparison. Don't get me wrong they've all done alright. But not quite there to be competing in a team up the top end of the league
And we had him last year.. mr jordan white

After going yesterday and having looked back at the highlights we played very well first have and had at least 6 or 7 chances, should have been 4 or 5 up. I know people say we need another striker which in a perfect world would be great but I feel with just a bit more composure and match sharpness the extra goals will come.

He played very well and he can only get better the more he settles in and the team gets used to each other. Look at the difference between the cefn game and yesterday worlds apart he was linking up and passing it pretty well yesterday. Just need him to improve on his composure and finishing.
