always amazes me that people have to eat or drink at the football, its only ninety minutes your not going to waste away or die of dehydration during that time, the space used for food kiosks could be used for far better things like a bookies or a programme shop

That isn't the point though. We could have a bookies a shop and food/drink kiosks under the TechEnd if it was planned and laid out properly and that way make even more money.

The bookies part doesn't even need staff - I use machines over in Tenerife to put all my footy and other bets on when over there. Its simple.

Jones bar is just a poor delivery of what should be a super fast service of alcohol pre-game and in the HT interval.

The space under the Techend has been poorly used and the facilities are rubbish as is the service.

It isn't rocket science to address this and with a better layout then revenue would increase considerably.

Why on earth the prices and staffing haven't been addressed by the club yet is beyond me. I understand that there would be teething problems but we're past this now and every big crowd we get there are always issues whether that be at the turnstiles or in the concourses. Needs sorting fast.
They use the cliched saying that they are still learning.... 8 years in or whatever timescale is! If we weren't fan owned I feel there would be alot more criticism than there is now. Even the 1864 suite which I have not been to and I hear is a great success seems to be underpriced which is ironic when you consider the rest of the food services is over priced and the service not the best.

This is only the second season that the club have been responsible for provision and supply of catering at the ground.
Bamfords and 1864 run smoothly but are value for money not under priced they are easier to run as there is not a pre match rush but a steady flow.
Ironically you can order half time drinks which are prepoured in both these areas.

Pricing will always be a contentious issue really.
As in all areas some will pay some won't the choice is up to the individual.

The real issue is about service and standards with pricing a distant last.

How much profit do you think we'd be likely to make from a bookies?

It may only be the second season. But there really isn't any defending Saturday (in the Tech End anyway). They had the same issues last season. Running out of stock and not organising themselves efficiently to serve a large amount of people.

Got to admit I haven't been in that stand since 1980 when Wales hammered England 4 1 in the last Home International.

Doesn't sound like its improved much since then.

I would really like to use the Cae Ras Stadium catering facilities, but at those prices, it's going to take more than just a pretty face to make me part with my cash. " A fool and his money, are soon parted".

Shame, honour and respect, not forgetting manners and they maketh the man.

Talking of manners why isn't our founder Edward Manners recognised in some shape or form ?
