Shame we lost. But it happens. We’re still in a fantastic position and I’m sure once dk brings in his new striker we will be ready for the big push after xmas

Can't disagree really with the ratings although I thought rutherford tried throughout and on a number of occasions mad himself available for a pass when others, notably Reid, didn't. I was very disappointed with Kelly - when he was on the wing his first response always seemed to be a pass back to Carrington. Thought he should have been subbed much earlier.

JND raised the issue on another thread of a lack of pace. I didn't think it was pace in itself, but Aldershot passed the ball quickly and accurately and used their pace which put us under pressure. They were also very good at stretching our defence, constantly switching play from one flank to the other. I know we lost 2-0 but I didn't think their defence was too impressive and a stronger attacking team would have punished them. Yet again they had an inexperienced keeper (on loan from Reading U21) and we failed to test him.

Reid going back to Fleetwood will be no great loss. The trouble is we have no one to replace him. The fact that Deano kept Boden on the bench until 5 minutes before the end when we were 2 goals down surely shows he has no confidence in him. He must be offloaded in January.

If we can sort our striking and midfield problems in January I am confident we can make the play offs but today's results across the Division show yet again the league is there to be taken. No one shows any consistency, but many of us have runs of success. Although the result was the same as last year at least today's team tried till the end. the problem is everything breaks down in the final third.

As someone else said things could have been very different if Reid had slotted home his chance in the first half. He panicked and shot too early rather than taking on the keeper. On today's showing I'll be surprised if he makes it as a pro footballer.

Totally agree. It was a home match wasn't it?

Just checked. It was 7 hours away. Still agree though, everyone should have spent their whole Saturday travelling to Aldershot.
