Re: Ferdinand Takyi
Thing is, unless he really does have no skill for the game, it could just be a case of not being in the right set up at the right team etc..
Lots of players get passed on and then become a hit at other clubs. It is really just a lottery. I trust Dean, Andy and Carl to make the right judgement call on this, and any other players they look at. |

Re: Ferdinand Takyi
He's only trialling with the club, if he signs it means that Dean and Carl have seen enough of him to suggest he's up to standard or has the potential. I could understand some of the doubters if we had just signed him out of nowhere but he's trialling which is to the clubs benefit.

Re: Ferdinand Takyi
I Dont know anything about the guy apart from reading above.. and the videos.
from the videos .. and purely from them.. i think he could potentially be another Bakarre . looks clumsy lack control and seemd hesitant also a lot in those videos. as when in front of goal for me took far to many touches .. when should of taken shot earlier. im not expert of course.. but thats my opinion from watching the vids.. so a thumbs down from me |

Re: Ferdinand Takyi
Possibly. However, there could also be other reasons...confidence, fitness, personal issues.
Its clear he hasn't set the world alight here for whatever reason but with the next couple of games being an opportunity to get minutes he might improve. If not, then Dean has a choice to make in January. |

Re: Ferdinand Takyi
True. But it doesn't always follow. Kevin Keegan was rejected by a league club (can't recall which one), our very own Bobby Shinton was superb for us, poor for Cambridge and worse for Man City. Dave Smallman, again great for us, poor for Everton. Sometimes it takes a few clubs to find the right fit. He's worth a try and the signs don't look good, but you never know!
