Having read the story it seems to me Keates wants the player to force the situation as much as possible.

Surely the only way we'll be signing Andy Cook is on a free if we win promotion. Otherwise Tranmere can afford to pay him more than we can.

Cant see this Cook rumour being anything other than rumour.

We cannot be sure what league we will be in - optimism coming through here despite no further signings yet - and would DK really have agreed anything yet given this unknown.
Tranmere are not going to sell him to use but no doubt he will leave - question is where to as I am sure Barrow would be splashing some more cash again and a league move is a possibility.

Hopefully the midfielder rumour has some credibility and hopefully a player that will improve us especially if we have made 3 bids and possibly another striker.

I just hope that come 31 Jan we are all not disillusioned.
