The way we set up with Miller in the side was with Boden and Holroyd starting behind Miller and Miller running the channels. It looked reasonably effective.

I would think that swapping Quigley for Miller is the obvious choice and leave Boden and Holroyd to feed the ball to him. 4/3/2/1 formation.

Lets hope so. Quigley likes to play off the shoulder of the defender.

I would love to know what Dean is really thinking re: team building. His reluctance to 'just buy anybody' might suggest that the real plan is a promotion push 2018/9.
I certainly wouldn't be against this although it is a gamble as the league will look very different with 6 new teams in and six we know out.
Although my preference would be to go all out for the title this season he does have the basis for a very good team next season if he can keep hold of his key players and bring in four or five better players in the positions we all know need strengthening.
Either way it's pretty good being a Wrexham supporter these days!

I think the league will be much weaker this season than it is next season, we should really be gunning for it this year. No ones a really stand out this season, best chance in years. Next year we could well have FGR back which would be a nightmare, Barnet who’ve also got a bit of backing and Chesterfield, don’t fancy any of those. Also instead of the mighty Solihull, we get Salford who we know have the funding.

If we don’t make it this year at least we can say we gave it our best shot rather than this ludicrous two year plan bollocks.

He is a bright young manager full of enthusiasm and is just as tenacious now as he was when a player just what we need to take us forward. It may not happen this season but I have every faith in him to deliver within the next couple of years. I know as fans we have waited a long time and it is frustrating, we are in a far better position now than we were 12 months ago, as long as we continue to improve I am more than happy to give DK and the team the time it will take to deliver the goods.
Very realistic and good post

Good post. Like you say if FGR come back down then its going to totally upset the balance in the league financially. Whilst we have cash available for once theres no way we can compete with them financially. Also Salford if they come up is another North West club with money which is going to make it more difficult for us to recruit locally.

If were going to go up then this year is the best option. I think next season will be a hell of a lot more difficult even if we do keep our key players.

It's hard to predict how tough the league will be next season. This year we had two monied teams coming up and two relatively large old league teams coming down so on paper it looked tougher than the previous year, but I'm not sure it is.
