Re: Local talent spotter identifies key WAFC targets
I'd rather some of the players mentioned proved themselves regularly in the Welsh Premier first.
No disrespect meant to any of the lads mentioned, but take for example Barry Torrence. He's 27 and played no higher than Cymru Alliance. This season for Queens Park he scored 2 goals in 11 league games before signing for Brickfield. Another example being Jordan Davies. He scored a load for Prestatyn last season, and moved to Nantwich this season. However this season he scored 2 in 12 league appearances before signing for Sandbach United. They're hardly going to tear it up in the Conference. Gareth Edwards at Caernarfon is 34 and never played higher than Cymru Alliance, I doubt he'd be an improvement on Pearson or Smith. |

Re: Local talent spotter identifies key WAFC targets
It’s an interesting article with a different perspective. I can’t understand the snobbish attitude that some have towards it. He also has a point about a few players:
Aeron Edwards - able and has more potential than some of the midfield players we have seen in recent years - more potential than “he’s one of our own “ for instance . Harry Lovett - in his age group he was a really good midfield player with an attitude. Currently with Shrewsbury and being loaned out to the likes of Sutton cold field. |

As Cymru said, some of these lads are just playing at a very low level.

Max Killman Plays for Maidenhead also plays futsal and Connor matches him Adam Ryan Dawson has won the conference with Bristol Rovers and Ryan Williams played in the championship with Brentford. Connor is ahead of these guys on a futsal court but not sure if he would make it 11 a side as he doesn't play it |
