Orient away is a tougher challenge than Halifax at home. You’re not comparing like with like.

Regardless, today’s performance was piss poor, and the result was disastrous.

Prior preparation prevents piss poor performance. We got it all wrong today, and have paid a heavy price. Just makes it imperative we win these next 3 games; and that is a very tall order.

Roberts 4 couldn't cope with their number 7
Smith 8 standard
Pearson 8 did well against a right brute
Jennings 7 hit and miss, but he is relied upon to get down the whole flank and attack and then rush back to defend.

Rutherford 7 thought he was great first half, faded second
Wedge 9 motm perfect first half, more ordinary second.
Kelly 6 thought he did ok, but delivery poor
Deverdics 4 poor. Give him time.

Boden 6 some nice touches first half and confidence after goal. Then someone pushes him over and he gets timid again. Calamitous in the minutes prior to getting pulled.

Holroyd 7 generally good.

Subs Quigley tried to hard and it wouldn't drop. He has to start for me as he is our best striker.

Franks looked competent enough

Orient are a better side now than they were a few weeks ago.
A point is a good result at orient. Can't see us getting much more unless we buck our ideas up.
We won't win the league unless most of the players up their game significantly.
I don't get the view that it's a point and we are still in with a shout. Yes, but in reality we should still be top tonight. We are not ruthless enough to be champions.

We have worked bloody hard to get in this position but once again seem to lack the ability to push on.

I still feel we will make the play offs, just. But champions, no way unless improvement happens all across the pitch.

Now is the time we should be putting six or seven wins together. Frustrating is the key word here. I don't doubt there will be twists and turns before the end of the season but at this point in time I'm not getting the champions banner out.

Wembley ticket maybe. We will wait and see.

Roberts - should have cleared the ball before the corner for their goal, but did set up ours - 6
Jennings - meh - 5
Pearson - 7
Smith - 7
Wedgebury - great engine and breaks up play well but gives the ball away too much - 6
Kelly - woeful set pieces, too slow, no key passes, can’t tackle. But apart from that a MOTM performance apparently - 4
Deverdics - not a winger - 5
Rutherford - stupid sending off - 4
Holroyd - ran around a bit, but that’s about it - 5
Boden - scored and some clever balls and movement. Probably the actual MOTM for me - 7
Quigley - thinks he’s going to score every time he gets the ball (he’s not). Doesn’t look fit, but does look dangerous - 5
Franks - would like to see him start next Saturday - 5
