We were outplayed yesterday , Very few players looked interested and only made real effort in a desperate last 10 to 15 minutes.
Personally thought that Boden did OK. Made space to receive the ball, won it a number of times and laid the ball off well, but for Quigley going a little early we could have been level when he played a lovely reverse pass through the defence.
Holroyd was pretty anonymous but he must get really p!ssed off having to track back to make up for a non existent midfield.
Agree. Whilst not brilliant, Bowden was our best player until ROBERTS ballsed it up and Raven was brought on. The management panicked by taking Bowden off.

The ref got 50% of things wrong yesterday, but it’s a cop out to blame him for the childish indiscipline.

Pearson went from Captain Courageous to Captain Mainwaring.

Unless we get a grip the POs will simply drift away. If we somehow stumble into them I doubt we could win them.

Been obvious for many months, but the truth is we have given Keates etc too much credence. They steadied the ship but haven’t built a sound platform to go forward with. Seems to be the trend.

PS And some critics claim there is no room for a footballer like Dom Vose. Makes me laugh and cry.

Got to be the main priority for the new manager. In all honesty we need a complete new midfield because this is the worst one we've had in a while and it is not chipping in with goals either.

Indeed, made even worse when you have the likes of Franks and Dicks masquerading as footballers.

Agree. It's not even a midfield, it's an extra line of defence and the two 'wingers' make the same run every time. I think we have become so used to dreadful football that we accept this as 'the only way to get out of the league'. Let's get it on the deck and play.

This ^^^ if we see Wedge as our best midfielder, we’re in trouble! It’s not just management who need to study today’s match video, it’s the board. Forget the ref, the weather and all the antics, they were simply better players, almost to a man, touch, control, vision, passing. With a striker they could have won the league! We require better quality players than we have if we’re to get out of this league, simple as that! Can have any manager we like, but he still needs enough quality to work with for success.
There’s not many here to build from. Keates left us at a bad time and sadly in a bad place!

We need a complete new midfield yes and I would add Wedgebury to that or convert him to a centre half.

Spot on. When it comes to matters on the pitch I think I always agree with what you are saying. They had several players who would transform our team - Andrade, Ferrier and the number 10 Murtagh in particular, was the best midfield player I have seen all season.
