Lots of rumours about Tranmere that if they don't go up this season there may be difficult times ahead financially.

Macclesfield have proven that you don't need a lot of money to get out of this division.

I'd heard that the level they are at financially is unsustainable now that the parachute payments are finished. They've already closed their academy to 'protect the club'. Losing money in quite startling amounts. If they don't go up, then the budget they've had up to now may well be cut dramatically.

Of course, they may well run a massive fund-raising concert like they did last season. That went well.
