We will be a mid table non league side for the foreseeable future unless we somehow strike it lucky.

We can't compete with several clubs in this league already for players and will only get worse when Salford and Chesterfield join us.

The reality is money talks until FFP is introduced across the board.

The statement that being a 'big club' will attract players is nonsense on the whole. One or two will probably come for that reason, but if others can get paid an extra £100 at Boreham Wood they will go there.

We need to build on the defence we have (If they all stay) and get as much quality as we can afford in the other areas. Unfortunately this is unlikely to be the calibre of Cook, Whittaker etc..

Lets just hope the new management team can hit on the right formula.

Amazing if you think about it. But thanks for putting my therapy back a bit - now I'll be replaying Deryn and Andy's mix up through my head again all night : paddedroomneeded :

Playing budget reduced from £2.2million to £900k in the conference next season (I have no idea where that sits with the rest of the teams in there but assume mid table). Plenty of terrible players under contract for next season who will struggle at NL level including Chris O'Grady on £4k per week. Attendances tumbling. No trust from the fans in anyone at board level."

This is from Divvy Chat. From a Chesterfield fan.
They are in a right mess. Didn't the rich owner throw his toys out the pram a few years back. He built them a new ground got them challenging at the top of league 1 and got fed up of the abuse he was getting from supporters? Hence he withdrew funding and now they are in free fall.

The source of Boreham Woods money is common knowledge.
How much do Boreham Wood get? All they have is 3G pitch hire. I’m sorry but I can’t believe that Llandudno would have a budget to compete at the top end of the National League. I think Boreham Wood have simply used the money available to them far better than we have.

Arsenal Ladies and Youth teams and Watford youth team all use their ground. Arsenal have a long standing arrangement with Borehamwood (new ten year deal signed last summer)

What have Llandudno got to do with anything?

Well done to them for being proactive and getting income from other teams to use their ground. Nothing wrong with that, if we did that would anyone be complaining where our income came from! I doubt it.

Absolutely. But why do people keep assuming they haven't got any money?
