I thought Pyke showed some good promise when he was on loan with us previously - very fast and energetic - was almost trying too hard to impress - little would drop for him.

Since he left us he got a few games under his belt for Colchester and Vale.

Still only 20 but second time he might offer something with a bit more strength, guile and experience of playing against men.

I wouldn't completely rule out a return by Reid or Massanka - anything is possible - they might be different players with better service and a change of manager.

Those 4 forwards in squad of only 18 would ring alarm bells about the finances and our goalscoring prospects for the season.Have released presumably high earners in Boden and Kelly and no Pearson marquee signing either. Would indicate budget cut for this season.
At this present moment in time still unsure where goals will come from as in midfield know Rutherford 3 goal a season msn with Young & Summerfield not goalscorers either.2 goalscorers are needed to add up front as otherwise too much pressure on Fandop who is yet to have a full season as a regular starter. Do need goals from midfield as otherwise last season again-surprised not gone after Henry Jones,an actual midfield goalscorer.

If we want to be in the top half of the table,we need better than reid,massanka and pyke,they were not good enough.
