A good season ahead.
My main positive is the change in formation which looks better already in the friendlies. We don't want average teams dominating possession at the Racecourse and that shouldn't happen now. Breaking up play should be easier with more in the middle of the Park. With more of the ball, we'll have more of the ball in the final third, and more goals. I think we're all slightly disappointed in the strikers. I'm excited by Hinds and Fondop and its easy to forget that Pyke is a maturing player that a Premiership team is hanging on to. He could be a real dark horse. I can't say the attack will be better but I'm hopeful. My final point is that we're aiming for the playoffs and finished last season in 10th. The improvement doesn't need to be massive, although the opposition is likely to be stronger with some well funded opposition. We should make the playoffs, and I'm dreaming of top 3. |

I think Hinds will respond to our support - he’s a showman.Imagine your Hinds and not really sure why your club has loaned you to this tinpot welsh team in a Liverpool suburb. You get to Dover and see 500 of us backing you followed by a bumper racecourse crowd on Tuesday - whoosh. |

The crowd for the Fylde game will depend on the Dover result and Tue night crowds are generally lower. Most fans are uninspired by the signings and its going to take a lot to convince them this season. |

Re: A good season ahead.
If you look at the signings, young and summerfield look good signings to start off. Fondop has started well whilst hinds and pike fit the profile he talked of , young hungry players rated by their clubs and add some pace to the team. Beavon adds experience up top to give some balance, whilst the keeper will provide competition for dibble who will now get the chance many believe he deserved last season. Hopefully deverdics will come good as well, as I think he is a better player than we saw last season. Hopefully the discipline will get sorted paticularly stupid yellow cards for dissent.

Re: A good season ahead.
I really hope so - and I’ve got my fingers crossed - my main fear is that we still haven’t got enough goals in the team - think we’ll again be excellent in the goals conceded column - I’m just struggling to see where the 65-70 goals playoff teams generally score are going to come from - we managed 49 last season and 47 the season before.
That’s the difference between draws and victories as we have learned |

Most fans I speak to are cautiously optimistic for the season ahead. I've only seen pessimistic comments on this forum and most of those are from "Football managers" |
