If you believe Newport County has no history, then I would suggest doing a bit of research. You're just making yourself look a bit silly to be honest.

Pot.Kettle.Black

Do your research as well before spouting nonsense like “...taxpayer to pay for our accomodation”.

Perhaps you're a bit like Chester fans who think that a reformed club is the same club as the old one, with the same history. It isn't. Slate is wiped clean
I've got pants older than your reformed club.

And yes, we were unfortunate enough to get very close to going out of business, but the fans stopped this from happening by stumping up some cash.

Since the trust took over, we've managed to clear debts and go from strength to strength, making a profit. Granted it's slow without a sugar daddy or lottery winner to put their hands in their pockets, but as a small club (in the scheme of things) you need to accept your limitations and take things slowly.

Obviously you're exaggerating the numbers but, yes, for a club like ours to re-establish itself as a league club and grow its core fan base, having lost an entire generation of supporters due to firstly going bankrupt (something you were close to doing yourselves) and then being "exiled" by the FAW, it's more than likely going to need some private investment.

The bigger risk we face isn't this potential change of ownership, it's the fact that our lease agreement at Rodney Parade ends in four years and it's becoming increasingly clear that the FAW don't particularly want to have a football tenant there. So if you really want to cream your pants at the prospect of a fellow Welsh club going to the wall like you so nearly did, may I suggest you divert your attention towards that - maybe you could give us some advice on how to get the taxpayer to pay for our accommodation?
I believe Newport voted against us being kept in this league when we had to raise the bond..... shows what you lot think of fellow welsh clubs.

This thread has descended into a bit of a meltdown if you ask me-enough of the tit for tat, can we just bask in the glory of being top of the league and ignore nothing clubs like Newport?

I would normally have some sympathy for your plight, but I will never forgive the betrayal I felt when the vote was taken about allowing Wrexham into the conference
