I cannot follow footballers moaning that they are tired with two games in 48 hours. It surely is their dream job. Perhaps a hypnotist or simply a big stick is what is required.
As for our team - we were all wondering when the wheels were due to fall off. I don’t really think that they have, but winning 4 of the first 5 is a bit of a tough act to follow. Everyone loses at some stage,it’s how we react that matters.
The Aldershot game is a big chance to re group, and start another unbeaten run. There is a massive chunk of luck required in this league. After one poor performance, it’s a bit rich for some RP experts to predict departures already. Perhaps it’s them who should be shown the door. It’s all about opinions, after all.

Some posters have been waiting for us to lose to stay relevant!

I’m sure there’s plenty to work on particularly as this manager has only managed the club for less than 10 games.

The start has been encouraging and not many predicted it.

Summerfield was superb away to Eastleigh with the assists for all three of our goals. He was also the engine in the MF at Maidenhead earlier the same week.

Akil has had a great start to the season and his main role is to disrupt play and win the ball, which he has done really well in most of the games.

Young started the season really well but has only just returned from injury. Give the lad a chance, he will be back to his best soon.

Yesterday was poor but must be balanced by the decent performances and results so far. Only missed one game so far and overall it’s been good value fir money.

So many drama queens on here

Never compare footballers to cyclists, cyclists are in a different league, footballers are just soft

We are in a far better position than many predicted, albeit we have until recently been lucky more than good. PAGL raises some good points about our deficiencies but is too quick to write us off. The young loanees are finding it difficult to adapt to the physicality of games at this level, but adapt they must if we are to succeed.

We clearly lack a midfield general, and width. Yesterday was a major disappointment; we must see how management, players and fans react on Saturday. Even with their poor start, Aldershot are no mugs, whilst F.C. Halifax are doing well. The games will test our mettle.

We have only played well in patches in most games and it is really a surprise how many points we have picked up.

There is still a lot of work to be done and i'm sure SR will be bitterly disappointed with the weekends points return.

I saw problems with real basics yesterday and I will make the following calls.
Burgess will be a flop as will Deverdics.
Holroyd has lost his way and will leave in Jan.
Sam will need a midfield general as 1 of the Wright, Summerfield, Young trio will need to make way.
Signing 6 season long loans will prove to be a millstone with none of them providing any real consistency.
Sam will need to improve the starting 11 in January otherwise we will drop off the pace once again.

Realistic not pessimistic.
If we couldn't do the basics we wouldn't have been top after 6 games. Now we've had a stinker of a game it suddenly becomes the way we'll play for the next however many games? I don't buy it.

Summerfield has had some storming moments yet yesterday has to be the game to define his season so far? Where's the logic?

If we were turning in those sorts of performances for the majority of the season so far I'd get the concern but there have been plenty of encouraging signs that now seem forgotten after a stinker.

You told people not to be ott after the strong start yet as soon as there's a bad performance then your own rule seems to go out of the window and it's open season to let rip.
