I've never seen the word 'tits up' used so much on one thread.

Am surprised the moderators aren't pulling it out for the nudity clause.

I was thinking about Gary Bennett the other day and what a Champion he was for our club.

Not technically a Champion.

But a Champion in spirit.

Imagine joining a club from your bitter rivals.

Being booed and jeered at.

And having the inner strength of character to turn it around.

To show how much you love Wrexham Football Club.

And to then go on and become one our club's most prolific goalscorers.

And finish off as a legend and cult hero.

The mark of a Champion.

Become a Champion Fan.

Even Robin Hood is joining our quest to be Champions...

He will be present tomorrow at Gander Green Lane in his green tights.

Amongst the band of merry men.

Look out for him and give him a wave.

Robin Hood was a Champion.

A champion of readdressing life's inequalities.

Wrexham AFC has a proud history.

That proud history deserves to be back in the Football League.

It wont be easy. It will be a long hard battle.

But its much easier going up as Champions than via the Play Offs.

Help our lads take the easy route.

Become a Champion Fan.

How you respond to a defeat is the makings of a Champion.

How you get back up of the canvas, dust yourself down and go again.

With renewed vigour and determination.

It will be another great lesson for SR to learn how our squad of players will respond...

How he deals with the defeat as a leader, shows mental strength to his players and how he sets up his men for the next game. To win.

If their are any weakness in the squad. How the club and Sam respond to that. And plan to strengthen those weaknesses. So they are no longer weak, but strong. That is the footprint of Champions.

We have played 12 games and are 2 points off the Champions spot.

The force is still with us. The force is still strong.

Kiwi, I am feeling a bit dis loyal tonight. I predicted a draw today, as opposed to an out right thrashing of Sutton. So on your thinking, I contributed to my teams heavy defeat because I was negative in my thinking. One defeat doesn’t make us a bad team, as we will re group. But Champions - I don’t think so.

Diolch Willywill.

I hear you. Am listening to you. And understanding your point of view. I understand that you don't think we will be Champions. That is quite ok. You have experience and knowledge as a lifelong fan... As long as you stay a Champion fan, which you are, then we will be fine.

You weren't being negative. You were being, in your own mind, realistic. It is quite okay and reasonable to think of a draw against strong opposition. If we ever 'expect' to thrash an opponent. Then we will be defeated.

Champions never expect to thrash their opponents. But they do play to win. With confidence. And they don't play with the ambition to draw.

We are still 2 points off the Champions spot.

We still have Sam.

We still have Shaun.

And we still have Luke Skywalker in Midfield.

And a squad who are in my own view going to be Champions. Provided we strengthen any tiny weaknesses we find...

Dear Sam,

I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. Get us up as Champions Sam. The Play offs is a lottery.

Love, Henry David Thoreau Walden
