Without Summerfield we are completely rudderless.We need to bolster that midfield.

The other issue is that the ball isn't sticking up front so it keeps coming back hence why our defence tends to naturally drop deeper as the game goes on and we don't put our chances away when we're on top in a game which again builds pressure.

We need a centre mid, a winger with pace and a striker who can hold the ball up and who can also hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

Sounds like positioning to me. Surely if he is such a prospect then he would just want him back after the loan. To suggest we buy him seems to be a clue that he is prepared to let him go but...

Surprised we are discussing this now. We are 19 games in, 27 league games to go. Hopefully up without the lottery of the play-offs, but with the odd few cup games as well.

Couple of these players can suffer a dip in form, someone might entice Sam away. If we hold our nerve, squad players might begin to shine...

Each and every transfer window is a time for change in the modern game.
IMO now is exactly the right time to talk about it

Too many times we have failed to sieze the January moment and the only time we did was when Keates had to save the season. We have players surplus to requirements and can make improvements. I would prefer to bring someone in that is keen to do well rather than someone running down the rest of their contract.

I am hoping Sam has a similar mindset.
