This is only his 3rd season there so not an eternity by any means

Corey Whitley from Ebbsfleet would be my no1 choice. A player that would bring plenty of goals and assists from the wing, a Christian Jolley type signing. He'll be available too as they are struggling for cash. Also need a big man upfront to hold the ball up better and more importantly score goals.

If our headline signing was Fondop during a period where far more players were available I am not convinced we will get anyone decent frankly. Will we have any of the Ward money ?
That is the only way we would be able to entice someone here. Would like to see us do something more audacious now. It's time to roll the dice and go for it. Bring in a proven striker and pay the money.

If Ricketts leaves what happens in January?

I would keep calm about it, SDR will strengthen, he will know what quality he needs and for the first time in decades, we should have the finances he wants. Hopefully, there will be some investment in our future, capturing up and coming players, but I suspect his best option will be a couple more loan deals to get quality players to come here.
