Re: Sarge
Just got in from work, Terry Perkins(Who has been ill himself)lots on here will know him, let us know on Facebook. Not too sure what to say. Played with Sarge at Bersham for many a year, shins like steel, in his close catching position, never caught too many though.
RIP Sarge. |

Re: Sarge
Didn't know the bloke personally but would no doubt recognise the face from games. I'm also assuming he's the same bloke who posted on here.
All the tributes on here are testament to how fond people were of him and how much a part of our Club he remains. RIP to a fellow Red.

Re: Sarge
R.I.P in to one of the happiest go lucky person you'll ever meet. He taught me how to play pool in the pub, how to kick people but still win the ball in football and drunk me under the table around the UK and Europe
He was usually the first person you'd spot in spoons on matchday or in any pub on away day. The memories of watching Wales vs Northern Ireland in Paris and seeing him so happy to stumble across Gaz Owen outside the stadium and then the post match drinks were amongst my favourite of Euro 2016. He had time for absolutely everyone and would talk the hind legs off anyone about non-league football. He would often make friends with rival fans and meet up with the for pre-match chats on the following games. Not only will be missed in Wrexham but is also for many fans in the league. Goodbye Sarge |

Re: Sarge
RIP a total Wrexham legend
I first met Sarge when I and a few others on RP proposed setting up a new fans group in Rhos back in 2005. I was fairly new to the village and slightly apprehensive about prospect of organising a meeting with a group of people I didn’t know. That’s where I first met Sarge - and saw the quality that we will all remember him for - from the first minute he welcomed me and treated me as an old friend. That’s why we feel his loss and why he will be sorely missed His knees were always knackered, his passes always agricultural, his tackles always strong, but he was an absolute pleasure to play footy with. Totally gutted by this news, thoughts with his family and all the friends he made along the way Rob
