Re: Your best ever Wrexham match
16th February 1974 - Southampton 0:1 Wrexham
Teaching in London at the time, got a return train ticket to Southampton. Met up with some mates, had a few beers, mind blowing game and result and we all went back on the coach. Only when I woke my parents up at midnight did I realise that Mrs Badass One was waiting for me to come home in London. Great goal from David Smallman (one of our own Deeside) |

Re: Your best ever Wrexham match
I was 12 years old for Arsenal game so lived the 90s cup killings through teenage years and nothing comes close to Birmingham away for me. Birmingham were THE side to beat at the time with big money players and when Steve Bruce scored it felt inevitable we were going to get a pasting. Yes they went down to 10 but we absolutely battered them for rest of match and I would argue there were half a dozen players in our team that day who had their best game in a Wrexham shirt. And the fans. Christmas puddings. We went increasingly mental after each goal but the celebrations for the third were something else. It one of few experiences in life where I can remember exactly how I FELT and not just have pictures i my mind. People just throwing themselves at each other with pure joy. It was beautiful.

A few decent games, but 05’ Oldham away in the LDV Vans, with my dad, watching that Ugarte masterclass, can still remember every time we attacked the sound of every seat in the away end hitting its stops as everyone stood up expectantly.

Re: Your best ever Wrexham match
Away at Spurs in 76 and the game at Birmingham both fantastic, both having eventful walks back to the cars at the end.
Burnley away 3-2 the great escape season of the 90s singing in the pub being led by Jako afterwards. Arsenal has to be the biggest rush ever though, if I could bottle that feeling I would make a fortune. I think the best ever will be the game that gets us out of this league ( if I last that long) |
