Maybe but surely we could of arranged a few friendlies somewhere, I understand other clubs have scrapped reserve sides, but I think it's a backward step, also trialists could be looked at in reserve games.

One look at the pitch, the fact they had narrowed it, made it obvious they intended to stifle us and love him or hate him he is something different, holroyd wasnt going to get the room to work. Second half we kept hitting balls into the box without joy and ended up pushing pearson forward, instead of employing fondop.
The issue at Salford was the type of ball we put into the box, not the fact that Fondop wasn't on the bench.

Don’t disagree with you: I think reserves and friendlies are fundamental to the development and match sharpness of a team, especially now it would appear Barrow knows his strongest 11.

I don’t think non-league sides are allowed to compete in the reserve leagues now apart from the cost of running a reserve side.
I will buck the trend and say I think Fondop has potential and just needs his confidence back , so maybe a short loan spell would do the trick.
Holroyd has never let us down but suffers from form ups and downs like any other player.

Don't understand the logic of Deverdics before Fondop on the bench.
We have plenty of midfield options and Fondop has contract for next year and Deverdics will be out of contract. Use the player that has the longer term value and lets be honest is Fondop worse?

Who will drop off the subs bench after our next signing?

and when Roberts is fit. GB quoted in the media as saying he wasn't happy with the quality from the bench and Solihull had better.

So Dibble, Carra, Holroyd, Wright/Ruthers/Young/Tollitt if Roberts was back Walker signed and a new CF.
