It's what you tell youngsters, "make the keeper work " " Get it on target ".
When our strikers have a shot, it's either over the bar or a mile wide.

We were always told "shoot on sight" when playing in the sunday leagues as a teenager.

It works. Yes, some shots go way off but pop enough at the goal and some will go on target, some may go in but those on target will cause problems.

I scored 14 goals in one season from centre midfield doing just that.

Remember the days when we had strikers scoring at least 15-20 goals and then we had at least one midfielder with the ability to chip in with 10 plus, Ferguson and Mark Jones in recent years.

Now we have a front three who aren't able to score ten between them, and midfielders who can't hit a barn door from five yards.

You watch them warming up before the match they can't even hit the target half the time then and that's with no defenders n the pitch.

Who brought these players in? Can we afford decent players? I'm not sure.

I could have told the board before these lads signed there was a very good chance they wouldn't be able to score. They never have, that's usually a good indication.

Boden is an interesting one. Couldn't score for toffee here yet at Gateshead hes scored more than all our strikers combined. I don't think its the players I think its more the system and how we set up. issue is we don't seem to have a Plan B.

Branded as shite here don't foget.

Its clearly the defensive no guts approach we've adopted. Far too many forward players fail here for it be just bad luck or every signing is a dud.

I stopped and watched them training and I was really shocked by their practice shots at goal, less that one shot in 10 was on target and even then it was easily saved. Another thing I found rather odd was watching Barrow pop off arround the 9 acre putting the cones out whilst everyone else stood arround talking !!!

Some thing is seriously wrong yet again and I so wanted Barrow to suceed but it now looks very unlikely !
