Just catching up on this thread, if it has an access it can’t be removed it must be retained that’s my understanding , a legal minefield.

Sadly the access has not been maintained or used over a long time.
Think the club have lost the legal right unless there is a covenant on the land.
Planning can ensure a right of access but the council have been found wanting in the past.

Just a little point of order. Planning permission cannot grant or imply (or extinguish) a right of access. That's civil legislation and completely seperate from the planning process.
