I reckon that's why I've put a / between their names as it's either or but not together.

They proved a number of times last season that they are too weak as a centre mid two.

Did they ever play as a midfield two?

Sacrificing a player like Brad Walker for a more attack minded in Redmond should give us a lot more going forward, whilst still being good defensively.
Disagree completely. We get overrun with Summers and Young. One or the other with a solid defensive centre mid (Walker role) and Redmond free to make runs forward

We are not going to compete with a league club for players.

Yes they did early on but we got exposed as neither is a strong tackler and Wright can't pass water

That's the reason we went out a got Walker. All of a sudden we looked more solid and we were sitting on top of the league until Walker got injured at LO.

BH panicked and changed the formation against Barrow and we lost the plot from there.

A defensive midfielder to replace Walker is a must

Would you take 4th and being in contention up until March?

Not with the same next result.

We have to be thinking about winning it.
Play offs are acceptable if we dont win it.

What the F has that got to do with my post?

Last season is history and another failure to go up, spin finishing 4th as much as you like... You being the Oracle should know we fell at the first fence in the play-offs with home advantage to a side that finished 7th a good way behind us.... So stop the spin we could just as easily finish outside the play offs next season no guarantees in football so don't give me progress bollocks.

Failures in January by your idols cost us

For last season I give you Aldershot look where they finished the season before... 12 yrs longest serving National league side...get your tiny mind out of the sand.

Summerfield, Young and Wright that’s three in my book.

I also think the midfield looked it’s best start of the season under Ricketts with Luke Young making runs past the front three. Hasn’t happened since he got injured early on and in my opinion it’s the reason we became less creative going forward.
