Wow, I’ve been watching from a far this season because quite frankly I needed something to cheer me up from the Rovers not having a squad for our level. But your situation sounds the same as ours when we went up, after you beat us 1-0 and we sat 18th in the table there was several meetings following it.

A few between management and owners and then one between management and players where certain players where told to swiftly do one by slightly larger players. Obviously there’s a massive difference in the quality in managers but if you can get this right and bring in the right players it could have a good effect.

We bought in Mottley-Henry and switched to 4-4-2 with Cook and Norwood up front. I’m not sure if you’ve got players as good as Nors, Cook, Norburn, McNulty or Jennings but surely you have some quality just about using it efficiently. Then in January supplementing it with quality squad depth, we signed players like Drissa Traore, Manny Monthe and Josh Ginnelly part way through the season so it can be done.

Agree not sure if it was just a typo. I think we have the players to do well this season we just need to play the right ones in the right places in the right matches.

If BH has lost the dressing room as rumoured then that is a big concern. I think BH had been treated a little unfairly by fans and possibly players given his demeanour and maybe he doesnt command the respect that someone like Ricketts and even Keates did.

I'd advocate more time for BH but if the players wont play for him its untenable and we may wish to cut our losses before it gets any worse. Hopefully the rumoured big meeting has helped clear the air.

Given geography I've only been able to get to 1 game so far so wont pretend to speak knowledgeable about our failings but 2 obvious changes to me would be Carra at RB and someone in for Redmond to make us more solid in midfield as I dont think hes good enough attacking wise to justify his lack of effort and positioning and no combination of 2 of our remaining midfielders are good enough to compensate.

January at our club is when the circus rolls into town.
Our signings in January are 99% total and utter disasters and total wastes of money. We sign players then don't play them and when and if they do play you are left scratching your head because again,99% of the time they are worse than what we already have.
This is all coupled with the last January's manager mayhem which was all conducted and then covered up by the untouchable bombproof "fans" who sit on the boards of the WST and the club.
So any hope of a January that sees the squad strengthened and sees us push on are highly unlikely.

What's it like to experience your club actually strengthen the squad in January by the way? What does it feel like? We've never experienced it here, nor are we likely to anytime soon.

What’s Simon Ainge up to?

Surely he’d settle the defence down and get us keeping clean sheets.

I agree.

But you do need discipline and you do need passion; without these I can't see how players will buy into your plans.

I don't see these in Hughes.

once again before the start of the season, we where all full of excitement about the new season. as in all our seasons since we ve been down here, but the expectation was nt there for all the fans me included, i looked at the players signed and from where they had signed from, it did nt fill me with the belief that we had a good enough team to win promotion. hughes is nt the man to lead us out of this league. when hes sacked and he will be the board will bring in another cheap option. this season is over after 5 0r 6 games the leaders are already 9 points ahead of us. thank you the board for screwing another season. you have nt got a bloody clue football wise.
