If we cough up for the begging bowl it just strengthens their grip on the club but most will do that rather than see the club sink. No wonder they are so arrogant. They know they have the fans by the testicles. Worse still if Huw Jenkins or any other saviour approached them they would "not have a mandate" or whatever it takes to stick with them in charge. Very few now really believe they would actually consult the fans in such a scenario. Only the devious and gullible remain to say otherwise. Last edited by eosceiriog; 30th May 2020 at 09.24:38.. Surely at least 1 member of the commercial dept should not be furloughed.Shirts etc could then be sold and season tickets could be sold.My friend purchased a season ticket on Thursday for Swansea and we now Shrewsbury ar selling them.Clearly the 1 person could have had input into the fundraising initiative too.

Re: Donation drive launched UTST | UNITE TO SAVE THE TOWN
I don't get the negativity towards this iniative, then I again I've never understood the constant negativity towards any thing club related since I've been using RedPassion. I get down, angry after defeats, upset when the club is in decline and although more physilothical these days, I realise the club will never go forward without a huge slice of positivity and positive people trying to make it happen and really wanting it. Excuses and blaming others for mistakes, may make the individuals feel better but it isn't going to save our club and neither is it going to take it forward.
It's easy for me, if anything doesnt interest you then ignore it, dont try and rubbish the ideas, efforts of some and support it gets. Starving the club, fans walking with their feet and staying away are things we have heard for all our years, it's a natural reaction when things arent going well and this can be mapped in decades of attendance figures, but what counts is the fans who will support and turn up when the chips are down. Clubs up and down the country, have had a real real wake up call and are concerned for their future. From what I can read, the vast majority are undertaking similar initiatives to ourselves as they all realise its the fans, the life blood of club that will kep them alive or let them die. |

The current board have squandered a fortune ,they have misled and lied to the fans the so called owners, those same fans have had to endure years of misery on the pitch yet you think spending a couple of grand to get bladdered with bootlegger will sort it out. Our club will be saved once the guys killing it are removed

Thanks to Geoff for responding and doing his best . Good luck to the commercial team at this difficult time.
I have been involved with advertising sponsorship at a football club and it is not an easy task. A good deal of sponsorship comes from people / businesses who have some form of link with the club. It might help this appeal if the real time balances and projections were displayed. Perhaps this is not possible. |

Probably safer to stay and look through the fence, but from what I have seen most training takes place in the Jacuzzi down the Gym. Personally I’d feel rather uncomfortable watching this but maybe ok for the young single female fan.

Why can't they just do the right thing, they've tried and failed big time. The football has been a disaster and for some reason they haven't grasped that is the only thing that matters.
Put the club you're killing up for sale.
