Well, considering that those in power have cultivated an 'us' and 'them' relationship with the fans I doubt it would be any different with new WST board members.

We've already got people who aren't suitable and who are way out of their depth, we need to move away from that and not encourage everyone to stand regardless. Absolutely mental.

Maybe they recognise they aren't suitable, maybe they know they don't have the skills, maybe they just don't want to because they believe the model is flawed anyway. Lots of reasons. Can't believe this needs explaining.

For me, this is key. The idea should be to get the best people on the board, not to yell at anyone who believes we need change "Well, get yourself elected then!"

I think people who have been elected and tried to bring about a modicum of change from within have found themselves to be banging their heads against a brick wall.

I can believe what you say. It must be difficult to press effective change. I predict there will be few members putting their names forward for election (I could be wrong). More likely to see names being nominated for vacancies.

To provide a change of direction it would need a group of like minded individuals who have organised themselves prior to the election. (Wonders if this has been done before )

Then they would need to gain a place on the WST board. and If successful, in sufficient numbers, they would then need to gain places on the Football board.

A long drawn out process with no guarantee of change.

if there was a sudden influx of new members, the board and most importantly wst/board supporters would claim this was an endorsement to leave things as they are, the new members would not be able to vote on anything for ninety days which gives the board sufficient time to get even more of a forcefield around themselves

This has been crushed time and time again. Its been done to death. And its absurd for many easy to find reasons. I'm not going to explain those all over again. But all I'll say is that if you're unhappy with Boris being PM, does that mean you should try and become PM yourself? No it does not. Its so simplistic and lacks even the most basic thought.

If you don't want Boris you look for an alternative that would do a better job , Sunak or Starmer possibly. This is where your anti board fanaticism falls down , you don't seem to be able to provide an alternative list of suitable candidates whether you would stand yourself or not.
