The club itself has a value of Nil. The £2million was an assessment based on the £2 mil injection of capitol. The club has funds enough to keep going until the transfer of ownership. The WST has funds in the bank to support any shortfall in the clubs accounts. Merchandising will only bring in small amounts of money initially, nowhere near the millions you imply. At this stage of the project the commercial activity is also limited unless we start flying high in this league and the next. Success on the field will determine everything. If the football fails to deliver, the project stalls and the cash flow with it. R & R are astute enough to recognise the above and will hopefully manage the club affairs accordingly. I expect additional funds being made available as and when required but don't expect them to throw money away on the dream. I anticipate that they will be more like Andy Pilley than Dale Vince. |

Re: Takeover3
Anyone who really thinks the club is worth 2m is mental. The only reason there is an initial 2m injection is because the board absolutely knew people would put 2 and 2 together and get £2,000,000 if the transfer was based on a Peppercorn deal only.
RRMc know they have to invest money, the capital injections as a whole they know will exceed the initial £2m... This figure was set as a way of getting the deal voted through because most people can't compute the fact that the club is basically without value. I would hazard a guess that the initial approach may even have included an offer with no cash injection determined but taking on full liabilities immediately. Regardless, the net position whether an initial injection of £0 or £2m changes nothing from RRMc's position because they will know that they will absolutely need to sink more cash in to make this a success. |

People are speculating about how much money we now have and who we can or can't attract based on the fact we had to live within our means previously. We are now on a different planet. We no longer have to rely on build the budget. The money spent will be how ever much R&R feel they need to put in to make the dream come true. Obviously much of this could be self financing with increased crowds, sponsorship, documentary, merchandising etc..... We will see how much they are willing to invest when we need that star striker that we've never been able afford when it mattered |
