I remember Denis Smith coming out in the press bemoaning a clause in the Trundle transfer from Rhyl which meant we would have to pay Rhyl a fee if he singed a new contract with us. Given who owned us at the time not really wanting to spend any money i can understand why it was such a low offer.

Forgot he cost £60k from Rhyl. Maybe now we have the funds to pay fees for promising players lower down the pyramid without being terrified of them failing
