Who is responsible for this farce.
Not saying it is this… but they might be trying to get the numbers up watching the free content before it goes behind a paywall. If people are on the habit of viewing they’re more likely to pay up some cash, if they’re not that fussed or don’t at the moment then they probably won’t.

Or it’s not that at all and I’m over thinking it !

I thought this was a big point in the interview, he has been involved with the youth set up more then his predecessors did in all their time here. It sounds like the aim is to get the whole club playing a certain way, so if youngsters are called upon they are up to speed of what is expected.

He obviously isn’t ready yet to start every game if we have ambitions to win the league but I think he did okay all things considered.

He won’t get better if he never plays.
Totally agree and what is the point in making negative, and potentially damaging comments against one our youngest players. Cleworth is definitely one for the future and, considering his limited experience to date, has stepped in and done an excellent job. Give the lad a break FFS!

Potentially damaging comments? FFS.

Presumably you weren’t about when Shaun Pejic was playing…!

Rubbish,

Cleworth did OK against County, IMO and in the opinion of PP too. He kept things simple and at his stage in his career, its all about getting minutes on the pitch.

There are very few class players at this level, our youngsters (just like our midfielders) need to bulk up in the gym so they stand a chance of holding their own against the bruisers they will come up against. Then they can learn their trade in real time situations on the pitch.

Granted only a tiny number of kids will go on to have a career in the game and until they get onto that pitch in a competitive game, you will never know if they will sink or swim.

At least now with a manager who cares enough about our youth that he turns up to watch them play, gives the youngsters hope that one day it could be them.

I say he wasn’t that good (5/10) and you say he was ok (6/10?)…yet I’m talking rubbish.

Whether Parkinson cares about youth, time will tell. The proof will be how many he plays. The way the youth set up has been neglected over the years would suggest it could be a while before players are the requisite standard to compete for a starting role.

What are you expecting?

There comes a time when kids showing the requisite standard in youth matches, training etc need to step up their education. The way to do that is by getting minutes on the pitch to see how they handle themselves in a competitive match.
Cleworth is good enough to get the chance to earn those minutes on the pitch and when he has played, he has done well.
