He actually said Humphrey does all the community engagement.

Whether he meant to or not, he did diminish Fleur's role and made out she is limited to match day operations.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall. We've got a hell of a lot of cooks working on this broth.

All sounds reasonable to me. Lots of cause for optimism there, and good to see some transparency too.

I think there are a couple of ways of looking at Fleurs position:
- Harvey possibly acting as de facto CEO... for now. He is a consultant, and consultancy is not sustainable long term. Fleur had a different role at Barrow so perhaps its necessary to groom her into the role.
- Her lack of presence including non participation in this interview could point to a lack of confidence by her bosses. If she isn't cutting it, then perhaps they are working with her to give her the time to develop.
- it genuinely is just the structure that R&R wanted to put in place. When making their decision to hire a CEO they perhaps just felt she would fit in alongside harvey while strategy was being delivered in which case everyone needs to lay off her a bit

I'm sure it could be spun other ways too, my only concern is that we made a big song and dance about appointing a female into the role and it was a move I was totally supportive of (my best bosses have generally been women)... Concerned that she is being pinched a bit by the old boys club and if that was happening I think its a bit shameful. However until someone comes out and says this is the case its fair to assume that everyone knows their job and we can be lifted by some of the comments in the interview.

I thought that was a great interview and Shaun came over really well. He clearly is a very capable business man and appears genuinely enthusiastic with all that's going on and the potential of our club.
No doubt that promotion is key, can't wait to see what happens in January with recruitment.
I do think a similar interview with Fleur would be useful/interesting, and maybe Les Read on his thoughts to date too.
I wonder where Peter Moore fits in to our structure/plans now?

You don't hold the roles that man has in his career without being an exceptional communicator. He might have done a few things clubs have been unhappy with but he's still a coup for a Non League club.
