Its narrower there have been lots of comments at the games saying so. The opposition then push up on our wing backs and dominate the midfield. Parkinson then doesnt change anything and Mullin and 99% of the fans get frustrated. Same every home game and its going to cost us.

Can't say I've noticed but at the very most it will have been a yard or two - there's still very little room either side of the pitch. Doubt it's having as much impact as some seem to think.

It is very noticeable from the MRS , I would say two yards along the whole length of the pitch - as to whether it has had an impact on our play I very much doubt it but have never suggested it did.

Deep down in my archive I have a couple of Football Association club handbooks circa 50's 60s. At that time of Div3 and 4 The Racecourse had one of the widest pitches in the land. It was similar to the Main Rd pitch of Man City.

The club seemed to play with some cracking wingers in those days that stretched defences. Thinking Gren Jones, Colbridge, R Barnes, etc etc. Wasn't the current pitch width narrowed when the Mold Rd stands was built? Of that I am not sure.

Generally if they narrow the pitch they have to do it along the whole length otherwise its no longer pitch shaped?

That said I would like a good look at the numerous times the linesman flagged for offside particularly in 2nd half because it was starting to feel like a vendetta
