Very dull episode, worst one so far. Can’t believe I wasted half my lunch break watching it…

Let’s hope they start to pick up again in quality with our season run in.

I haven't seen this episode yet, but lets not pretend football violence doesn't exist. Most people don't agree with it, but it's a big part of football culture in this country and beyond. You can't cancel parts out of a real documentary just because it makes people feel uncomfortable. Whether this episode could have been edited or documented in a better way is another thing, but lets not pretend watching Wrexham or any other football club is all about 90 minutes of football, singing happy clappy songs whilst enjoying a perfectly cooked cheese burger.

Probably worth watching the episode first. I’ve no issue with them highlighting the problem but the constant use of footage of violence from all over the world seemed gratuitous. It wasn’t presented in context for the casual viewer to explain these were fans from other countries. I don’t feel like the interviews with the lad with the banning order added much and made it look even more ill advised for Rob and Ryan to be shown drinking with him in The Turf. The overall tone could’ve condemned the violence more as well.

Doesn't sound great.

The bits with Johnny were actually quite boring and you could spot the sting in the tail (his girlfriend lost the opportunity to have a decent job with the police during vetting) a country mile off.

What it missed was our rivalry with Chester. Going into that and the reasons why we loath each other would have made for a much better episode.

Agreed. What happened against Torquay was bad, particularly the woman getting hit by a bottle with her son right next to her. However, it felt like they used it unnecessarily as a springboard onto a wider look at hooliganism. The cross-border (or is that same side of the border?) derby is known to be one of the fiercest in UK football and probably a better way to explore that side of things without glorifying it too much.

There's just no need to give them any time at all, they'll be loving the attention.
