Thanks, just picked it up on the BBC website. Saw pictures of the two half hour delay, lighting, rain storm. No wonder the second half was not up to much. No injuries I hope, which is the main thing, get home and rest a few days ready for Saturday.

Where is Luke Young? Seems to have vanished off the face of the earth.

Only watched the first half. Lee upfront is not the answer, he’s morphed into an excellent number 8 and that’s where he should stay.

I know many are saying the second half was poor after the delay and with a new team. I thought the first half we did ok, moved the ball round well, not sure why Dalby's goal was disallowed. Though our centre back three look solid, not much they could do about the deflected fk off I think Cannon. Our two wing backs did well I thought, all in all a good first half work out. Second half after the storm and long delay it was going to be difficult to get going again.

I am not sure what some expect, this was a warm up match, nothing at stake it was never going to be a classic. A pre season friendly. All about fitness and PP would have learned a bit from what he has seen this last few weeks.
I hope PP has seen that we're still lacking 2 or 3 players who are better than what we've got.One or two players injured and we have nothing of quality to come in.

I am not sure you are right, we do have cover in every position including Mullin's except we have not seen enough of Waters to know. PP is happy with what he has got so far, he may strength this week in that position, depending on his injury. But in a competitive league match the team will be a lot different to what you saw last night. I thought the pre season work out was excellent, from what I saw.

From the evidence of the game I saw last night we do not have adequate cover for all positions. Perhaps yes if we are happy with a mid table season but not if we want to be fighting for promotion.

Watched only the first half. It was clear at the beginning of the game that PP would rotate the full squad. Lee upfront was the first indication, and the weather conditions were the second (33 degrees and high humidity). There was still experimenting in midfield with O'Connor. The defence was mostly very solid against the pacey opposition. Barnett and Mendy had difficulties passing the pacey Philadelphia defenders and sending crosses into the box.

PP looking to get new transfer in before the MK Dons game.

"Parkinson also revealed that he is hoping to add to his ranks ahead of the season opener against MK Dons next weekend. When asked if Paul Mullin's injury had changed his intentions, he said that he was always looking to add to his attacking options anyway."

I don't think nay conclusions can be made from that game with the players who weren't involved . Look at the previous three games where we changed the entire XI, the second team looked decent.

For me the only position where we look a bit shallow is up front. I think we could improve the midfield options slightly too.

We aren't a mid table squad as it stands, looking at all the other teams in League 2. But possibly some added quality is needed to be top 3.
