Wasting everyones time with an appeal. Best saving it for the ocassions where we have a good chance of winning one.
I was of the same opinion last night, but having just seen the 'Triple A' video this morning, I've changed my mind.
If the club have submitted that clip to the FAW I think it will be overturned.

His weakness on defense is completely exposed and is compounded by the back threes overall lack of pace. Fortunately Hayden being back has helped that right side. But I think Forde defends better and although, he doesn’t put in the quality crosses that Barnet does, he’s certainly more of a threat to score a goal himself or put a quality shot in for a deflection that someone could take advantage of.

Agreed - watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roYwX3qPkN4

fast forward to about 3.50 , set the playback speed to 0.25 ( clicking on the settings / cog icon to do this ) ..

you can see from that that it's never a red - it' clumsy , but never completely out of control and certainly not malicious , there's no intent to do anything there other than win the ball cleanly .

Problem was , the ref had already made it difficult for himself , giving out a yellow to Ollie in the first couple of minutes , so the only place he had to go up from there was red - he applied no common sense to the game what so ever ..

... it was never a dirty/ nasty game , but to end up with 9 or 10 cards shown was frankly ridiculous - I really felt like he'd had a new set of cards from his mum and he wanted to make the most of them

I understand that Ref's have a responsibility to control games and protect players, but ref's like this ruin the game ... and not just this game as they'll contribute to players who fans want to see play being suspended for things that should just have been a quite word with the player and tell them not to do that again ..

... the ollie Yellow was a ridiculous one - yes Ollie was daft, but at that point in the game , surely the ref just says , 'Ollie calm down , if you do the again , you're going in the book ' .... but now , the fool just wanted to wave yellow around for anything he possibly could

as you say , having seen the triple A - we should have a reasonable chance of a successful appeal on this

They've both very good players - but you're way off the mark with Barnett - he'll end up playing championship football , possibly for us , but if not , certainly for someone else .

I do agree that Forde is better defensively and has a better all round game , but I'd be looking to utilise them both as with Mendy and McClean - Forde Can also cover the Centre mis positions , so I'd have him in the squad instead of one of the CM options on the bench if not in the starting line up

If we are appealing the red, then Barnett can play this evening. Welsh FA are normally slow to resolve these issues.

Got to see the refs report and 4th officials comments. Review the CCTV footage and organise a meeting if the player wants to be there to plead his case.

Ah, didn't realise he can still play if the appeal is pending. Thanks for making that clear

Do we actually appeal to the FAW now? I thought the EFL took over once we got back in League Two.

I have looked at the triple A video too, completely misses the ball and his foot looks like it stamps on the Crewe players calf/ankle. Clumsy it maybe, but not enough in that video to overturn the referees decision.

Also it would be the EFL/FA who review, not the FAW - we aren't non-league anymore.
