All makes sense. The only unknown is at what point/level does R&R's ambition run out of steam when it hits financial reality. We'll soon know!

Wouldn't be surprised if we signed at least one.
Scott Hogan could be a good signing.
Jeff Hendrick could be interesting. He probably sees himself as a higher level player but won't have many offers.
Richard Keogh is a solid player but probably past it.
Séamus Coleman will stay at Everton and move into coaching soon.
Brown, Egan and Stevens would be great signings but probably see themselves as upper Championship players.

Alan Browne - Preston
Greg Cunningham (33) Preston
Scott Hogan (Birmingham),
Enda Stevens (Stoke),
John Egan (Sheffield United)
, Darren Randolph (Bournemouth),
Séamus Coleman (Everton)
, Jeff Hendrick (Newcastle United)
Seani Maguire (Carlisle),
Alex Pearce (Wimbledon)
Richard Keogh (Forest Green Rovers)
No Bazunu or Evan Ferguson?

Future signings maybe.

Adam Idah on loan could be good if possible.

Luca Connell also is highly rated.

Troy Parrot another could be possible.

Well you certainly set your sights high.
Still you never know and good loanee's wouldn't upset our wage structure.

Luca Connell and Troy Parrot have both been on loan in L1 so it's realistic.
Adam Idah probably fancies himself at a higher level but who knows.

Is there a particular reason why we should be signing Irish players ?

Richard Keogh is now useless and has just retired.

While we're on the topic of Irish players - Ronan Hale - a name that was mentioned around in January scored twice for his club, Cliftonville as they won their first Irish cup in 45 years.

13 goals in 22 apps in Northern Irish Premier, 7 goals in 5 apps in the Cup.

Alan Browne Preston club captain and player of the year salary of £19,000 a week.As my daughter is a preston season ticket holder I have watched him many times and he looked very average but being his last year of his contract he has put in more effort.
