Judging by his highlights, he's like a Northern Irish Mullin - would be a decent cheap (relatively) buy.

People who have watched the League 1 playoffs can see we're nowhere near the standard needed. Shrewsbury should have scored 3 or 4 against us and they finished 19th. If people think we're going to run riot in League 1 then think again. The squad needs additions, but at a sensible rate.

The wage structure has probably already gone higher due to a promotion clause. New key signings are obviously going to be the higher earners but there has to be a line and double our best players is way above it.

I'd guess we'll be looking at 2 or 3 players who are or played in the Championship last season and they will come in as top earners along with 3 or 4 very good League 1 players who will fit into or slightly above the likes of Mullin and Lee's wage structure.

You can't have Andy Cannon running around picking up man of the match awards every week on £4k a week and Arthur earning 4 times. It's going to cause serious issues.

It's another problem we have to deal with.

This is nonsense. Every major sports franchise in the world has great disparity in salaries among players. Maybe if you’re in the NL everyone gets paid roughly the same. But in the big leagues, newly signed superstars will get the lions share. Others can get paid more their NEXT contract.

I don't think we need to be paying that much for a quality L1 goalkeeper. Arthur has a great future but some talk about him like he's the only keeper that we could get.

That is true. But people on here are just throwing numbers around when they have no idea. 16k/week is what is being implied. That came from no credible source that I can see.

However, I believe if you are going to spend extra, you do it for a great striker, great Gk or great CM.

I don't think Okwonko will sign but the players above can ask whatever questions like they and should be told to get into line. Okwonko has huge resale value, all the players above don't. It's basic economics why Okwonko would earn quite a bit more.
