Re: Is it too soon? - Transfer Targets
Good quote from Parky about sticking to his valuations:
“For all the players we’ve signed, there’s a lot of stories of ones we haven’t signed and got close to. We have a value on players we go for and if it goes above that, we just move away from it. “I think that’s important because there isn’t endless pot of money. We are working towards a budget; we try and sign the players who offer us value going forward and I feel we’ve done that really well over the last few years. “We’ve built a squad of players a lot who can carry on the journey with us. We’re not going to pay over the odds for players. We have our own valuation system and we’ll work towards that.” https://worldsoccertalk.com/amp/news...summer-budget/ |

Yeah though on the flip side it would have been nice to see a little of the Armstrong stuff behind the scenes, that's been a noticeable omission from the documentary, the charitable explanation being they don't want to embarrass Armstrong any more by bringing it back into the discourse and make it a worldwide talking point, of course they also don't want to embarrass whoever's fault it was on our end not getting the paperwork done in time.

Re: Is it too soon? - Transfer Targets
I think top end national league teams would survive in the SPL. I remember several years ago watching Inverness during a holiday to Scotland. They had the likes of Devine, Tremarco, Raven playing for them and were a solid SPL team.

Interestingly some decent players in junior leagues but earn more money staying part time and keep out of the leagues. Cheers |

Stephen Humphrys has left Wigan. “ After speaking with the manager, and learning of the new structure and cut backs the club will be taking under the new ownership, unfortunately the club and I couldn’t come to an agreement on my contract for me to stay.” Wonder if we’ll be back in for him as we reportedly were in January? |
