For me, the big issue isn't the eventual size for the ground, but what it will be used for.

Right now, the racecourse hosts around 25-30 sporting events per year give or take. With capacity over 20k, that number probably moves to around 60-80. For the investment to pay off in expansion, you need to utilize the ground more than 30 days per year.

I imagine there woudl be many Wales football international matches (male and female) plus likely a dozen or so concerts per year given the added capacity. Many artists will likely add North Wales to their tours.

How would those who live within a mile or two of the racecourse feel about this? Many are fine with 3 home matches per months, many because they mostly support the club. But will they want to deal with traffic disruption for a Sam Smith or Justin Bieber concert?

How many would we have sold in a season like 18/19?

I think all the gammons in the county borough would implode if Sam Smith headlined the Racecourse.

If my memory serves me right, shirt sales prior to the takeover were sat at around 2,000 per season

Our highest ever before the takeover was 3896. Not sure what year it was though.

Nobody HAS to and certainly not you. This entire thread is a bit of fun dreaming about what you'd build with somebody else's money and a healthy disregard of practical constraints.

I bet you'd build the York Community Stadium given the chance.

Could it also be used for some Wales rugby matches? There are a lot of rugby fans in North Wales too.

Get it to around 30k and you rotate it with Cardiff for all the internationals.

Make it too big and like the Millenium Stadium they won't put the games there because too many empty seats.
